We love healthy food and lifestyle blogs (including our own, of course). The beautiful photography, the mouth-watering recipes, the creative tips for healthy living. But let’s be honest: there are so many of them, it’s hard to keep up. So this week we’ve pulled together a list of the food and lifestyle sites we circle back to every week. They all have a slightly different angle: Kristen at Living Loving Paleo has an amazing story about how changing her diet has helped her cope with Crohn’s disease; Cookie + Kate features not only delicious recipes but an adorable canine assistant; and The Girl on Bloor focuses on healthy eating for busy living.
Do you have any favorite food blogs that we need to check out? Let us know.
The Collaboration: Sharing our mutual love of veggies
Over the last couple of years, we’ve teamed up with some incredible food bloggers to share our mutual love for delicious veggie recipes. These lifestyle mavens have become loyal partners that we value and trust to share interesting and fun new ways to enjoy Mann’s fresh-cut veggies.
We love, love, love collaborating with Kristen! She is the queen of Paleo and makes some pretty incredible sauces. Read about her inspiring journey in curing her Crohn’s disease and check out her latest blog post that features our newest veggie blend.
Denise creates mouth-watering recipes that we can’t resist. She also makes fun how-to videos – take a look at one her most popular videos that has over 227K views and features Mann’s Cauliflower Cauliettes. How good does this melted cheese look in this Cauliflower Rice Chicken Enchilada Casserole?
Taylor is one of our favorite new bloggers. While we only just started collaborating with her, we are have been thoroughly impressed with the recipes she’s created with our veggies. Her recipes are ideal for on-the-go people who need healthy meals for their fast paced lives. Check out her latest meal prep idea that features Mann’s Sugar Snap Peas.
The Inspiration: Healthy living
Below is a list of healthy lifestyle and cooking websites that we find ourselves returning to again and again for recipe inspiration and advice.
“Eat real food, not diet junk. Learn how to cook, and do it often. Quality, not calories, is what matters. Eat more plants. Revel in the beauty of food. Choose food that you love, and listen to your body.” That’s Canadian nutritionist Abby Langer’s philosophy on eating, and we couldn’t agree more. Abby’s site is full of beautifully-shot, healthy recipes as well as nutrition information, including de-bunking diet myths.
mindbodygreen looks at every aspect of wellness: mental, physical, spiritual. We love their plant-based diet mentality and multi-faceted tips for living your best life.
Kate is an inspiring vegetarian cook who focuses on whole foods and taking gorgeous potos of them. Cookie is her super-cute dog. We love them both.
Gena of The Full Helping is a New York-based vegan blogger. We admire her desire to make a difference in the world through her diet, and her recipes and photos make us want to cook and eat everything she does, even if we feel compelled to add a bit of chicken on top.
Tieghan Gerard’s Half Baked Harvest blog has raked in tons of accolades and a cookbook deal for good reason. The recipes and photos she cranks out of her family’s converted horse barn in Colorado are color-saturated, flavor-packed and completely Pinterest-worthy.
From recipes and cooking lessons to product reviews and kitchen renovation advice, The Kitchn’s 30 daily articles cover every aspect of making the kitchen the center of your home.
We love skinnytaste’s family-family, everything-in-moderation approach to healthy eating. Her recipes are categorized by diet preference: paleo, vegetarian, gluten-free, etc. and there’s something for everyone.
