New Year, New You

We’re almost halfway into January. How are those New Year’s resolutions going? Here at Mann’s our lunchtime exercise classes have been well attended, and the veggie fridge in our Broccolini® Cafe a popular destination.

We know, we know. Not all of you are lucky enough to work at a produce company where abundant, fresh vegetables are as close as your employee lunchroom. So we decided to make it a little easier for you to stick to those clean eating commitments you made to yourself 12 days ago. Starting Monday through February 2, you will immediately receive $1.50 off when you purchase any two of our Veggie Slaw Blends. To give you a little inspiration, check out a few of our favorite Veggie Slaw recipes below.

As part of our commitment to “New Year, New You”, we will also be partnering with Registered Dieticians over the next several months. So keep an eye out across our social media channels for contests and new recipes as well as multiple television segments and magazine articles focused on healthy eating. We can’t wait to hear tips from these trusted experts on how to get more delicious veggies into our day.

And last but not least, we’re excited to announce our support of the 2018 Fit Foodie Festival, a 5k/10k run, food and fitness event that celebrates health, wellness and foodie passions. Last year, over 20,000 “Fit Foodies” from across the country ate their way across the finish line. This year, Mann’s is proud to be an exclusive sponsor of the Fit Foodie Festival in San Diego on October 20, as well as supporters of the other three events in Fairfax, VA, Austin, TX and Denver, CO throughout the year.

Confetti Meatballs

Broccoli Cole Slaw is the one that started it all, and it’s still going strong (see our see story about it in this Byproduct Becomes a Product article). This Confetti Meatball recipe is an oldie but a goodie, but we keep it around because these are Just. So. Good. A great way to add more veggies to the lean protein of the ground turkey, there are delicious with marinara sauce, in soup or as a hot sandwich.

Shrimp & Spicy Kale Beet Blend Lettuce Wraps

Kale Beet Blend is the newest member of our Veggie Slaw lineup, and it’s pretty popular around here. The golden beets impart an earthy sweetness while the kohlrabi and cabbage give it great crunch. Did we also mention that it’s packed with nutrients, antioxidants and plenty of fiber? These lettuce wraps are an easy, healthy addition to your weeknight dinner lineup.

Berry & Oat Power Shake

Start your day off with a bang. This smoothie features Power Blend, a superfood powerhouse of 6 different vegetables. Throw in some frozen berries and oatmeal, and you’ll be fueled for hours.

Honey Sesame Rainbow Chop Salad

Our Rainbow Salad is a colorfully crunchy mix of cauliflower hearts, broccoli, red cabbage, and carrots. Toss it with this easy honey sesame dressing  for an ideal easy lunch.
